Landscaping

The common area landscaping is maintained by the Association.  For the specific areas, please contact management for more information.  The private lots are to be maintained by the owner.  Dead or diseased shrubs, trees, or plants are to be removed and replaced promptly.  Trees and shrubs are to be maintained clear of the sidewalks and streets.  Please keep trees trimmed up seven feet over the street or sidewalk.  Front yard landscaping falls under architectural rules.  A 50/50% rule is in effect, requiring that at least fifty percent of your front yard landscaping be living plant material.  If you wish to make changes to your landscaping, you must submit an Architectural Change Request Form.

Street Trees

To encourage the planting and maintenance of attractive trees within Diablo View, the Association will pay a rebate to owners planting new street trees on their properties.  Print and submit the Tree Rebate Letter to the management company to receive your $50 rebate.  The letter contains the conditions for payment of the rebate. The Architectural Committee has approved the following tree varieties for planting in Diablo View:

Larger Variety

Smaller Variety

Please note that your tree should be planted in line with those of your neighbors between four and six feet from the curb in order to be a street tree.

If you have any questions, please call the management company, (925) 672-2221.

Be sure to review the City of Martinez Trees on Private Property Ordinance before planting, removing or topping any trees.
